BIG PRIZES UP FOR GRABS IN ASBK

ASBK press release:

Thanks to an unprecedented number of high-profile sponsors, the 2009 Australian Superbike Championship is offering some fantastic prizes for winners all throughout the 2009 season.

As if winning on the track wasn’t enough, the top 10 in both the Superbike and Supersport Class will share in a prize pool of over $150,000! Additionally, M-9 are contributing toolboxes, each to the value of $600 for the pole position winners in both Superbike and Supersport categories for round 1 to start with.

But it’s not just the factory teams that get to share the spoils. New sponsors Perth Freightlines will be showing their support for up and coming talent by giving $250 to the highest placed privateers in both Superbike and Supersport class at each round.

Suzuki Motorcycles will also present one of their new RMZ-250’s to the winner of the Superstock 1000 class while the winner of the Women’s Championship will receive a KLX140 Big Wheel thanks to Kawasaki Motorcycles.

Other sponsors such as Dunlop Tyres and Gas imports will also be giving away some great prizes throughout the season.

ASBK’s Director Yarrive Konsky is delighted to be offering greater incentives for winning. “I’m extremely happy with the commitment from our sponsors and hope we can keep growing the prizes and prize money in the future” said Konsky.
