Steve Holcombe (Beta Factory Racing) and Nathan Watson (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) have each taken victory at Hawkestone’s seventh round of the 2017 EnduroGP World Championship in Great Britain.

Holcombe charged to victory on the opening day, defeating Watson and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Christophe Charlier, who completed the podium in second and third respectively.

In fourth was Loic Larrieu (Outsiders Yamaha Racing), followed by KTM-mounted Jaume Betriu in fifth, while Australian and multi-time world champion Matthew Phillips (CH Sherco Racing) wound up in seventh.

In the E2 division, Josep Garcia (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) reigned victorious over Eero Remes (TM Factory Enduro Racing) and Jamie McCanney (Outsider Yamaha Racing), followed by Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Daniel McCanney and Honda Red Moto World Enduro Team’s Davide Guarneri. Aussie Daniel Sanders (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) endured a challenging day to finish up in 13th position.

Day two saw Watson step-up to the number one position in EnduroGP, claiming the win ahead of Charlier and Larrieu in what was a tight race for the podium.

Betriu and Holcombe were fourth and fifth respectively, as Phillips failed to finish the day, putting a dent in his championship hopes.

The E2 class saw Pascal Rauchenecker (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing) top the second outing, edging out rivals Daniel McCanney and Garcia for the number one spot. Fourth and fifth was awarded to Jamie McCanney and Guarneri, as Sanders improved for ninth to complete the weekend.

Holcombe leads the EnduroGP standings as the series heads to Germany on 20-22 October, marking the final stop on the world calendar.
