Motorcycling Australia (MA) has confirmed the 2017 edition of the Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE) has been cancelled, which was initially scheduled to take place at Toowoomba in Queensland on 25-30 September.

The Toowoomba Motorcycle Club cited lack of entrants for the cancellation, making an announcement over the weekend via social media, which was later retracted.

MA endeavoured to work with the state’s governing body Motorcycling Queensland (MQ) to ensure the prestigious event would continue on, however the decision met was to formally cancel the race meeting.

It is understood that only 57 riders had entered at the point of making decision, with previous instalments attracting upwards of 300 entrants. The Toowoomba club stated all entered riders will receive a complete refund in the coming weeks, affirming it was not a light decision to cancel the annual off-road event.

It was announced earlier this month that Cessnock would host the 2018 edition at a revised time of year, pencilled in to kick-off on 3 April next year.
