Verdict:
It was yet another flawless weekend for newly-crowned MX1 champion Dean Ferris (CDR Yamaha), who strung together a perfect 1-1 scorecard to outclass the premier category. Crankt Protein Honda Racing’s Todd Waters put in one of his best performances of the year with a pair of second places finishes to beat home KTM Motocross Racing’s Kirk Gibbs in each outing, as CDR Yamaha’s Dylan Long broke through for his best result of season, defeating fifth place’s Kade Mosig (DPH Motorsport Yamaha). It would be a tough day for rookies Nathan Crawford (Mega Fuels Monster Energy Kawasaki) and Luke Clout (Crabkt Protein Honda Racing), who both suffered heavy crashes, however managing to escape uninjured.

Verdict:
Penrite CRF Honda Racing’s Kyle Webster set the pace with the fastest time in qualifying, but it was Egan Mastin (Davey Motorsport KTM) who dominated the day, wrapping up the title in the process. After taking the win in race one, Mastin was forced to hunt down rival Wilson Todd (DPH Motorsport Yamaha) in race two, which would ultimately determine the championship. The pair held an incredibly high pace, but a mistake from Todd at the halfway mark allowed Mastin to run away with the win. Webster was third for the day with 2-3 results, while Mitch Evan (Serco Yamaha) and Jay Wilson (Raceline Pirelli KTM) concluded the top five.
