Suzuki World MX2’s Hunter Lawrence is heading into the weekend’s 15th stop of the MX2 World Championship in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, with an open mind as he’s slated to visit the venue for the first time.

The youthful Australian is enthusiastic about the circuit, explaining he’s eager to hit the track this weekend after studying the layout, which he believes will favour his likings.

“I like the look of the track, it looks quite cool so we’ll see how we go,” said Lawrence. “I watched the event last year and it seemed to have a lot of ruts, which is something I like. The more technical and rutted the better, for me.

“Switzerland is a beautiful place from what Jeremy [Seewer] says about the country so I’m looking forward to checking it out and having a good weekend. There will be a lot of supporters for Jeremy and also for Suzuki so it should be a good weekend.”

Lawrence was 11th last weekend at Lommel in Belgium, which was another venue the Queensland-native had yet to race at. His result was enough to see him elevate to ninth in the standings as five rounds remain in the prestigious series.
