Premier class rookie Nathan Crawford is hopeful of landing on the podium at the next two rounds of the Motul MX Nationals, which are set to be hosted in his home state of Queensland.

The Mega Fuels Monster Energy Kawasaki rider said he favours the Toowoomba and Coolum circuits that will play out the end of the national championship, stating they’ll work in his favour as he endeavours to claim a top three finish.

“I really love Toowoomba and Coolum, so to have the two last rounds there works in my favour,” Crawford explained, who currently sits ninth in MX1 standings after missing a round with injury earlier this year.

“I’m really looking forward to this weekend and hopefully we can get some more top three results like my first moto at Port Macquarie. I really want a podium before the season is over and we’ve got two rounds left to do it.”

The Queenslander has been an impressive contender in his first year of racing in the MX1 class, piloting his KX450F to a number of respectable finishes that have seen him fall just shy of a highly-desired podium.

Toowoomba’s ninth round of the MX Nationals will mark the penultimate stop of the series this weekend, before the season finale at Coolum takes place one week later.
