KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Lyndon Snodgrass believes his teammate and newly-crowned E2 champion Daniel Milner played an important role in him claiming the E3 title in the 2017 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC).

Snodgrass captured a double-victory at Omeo in Victoria last weekend to tie on points with Lachlan Stanford (Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team) in the title chase, being crowned champion, which was determined by countback on the last victor between the pair.

The factory KTM rider, who was second in the unofficially scored Outright standings, explained his teammate Milner assisted him through the year, providing him with advice and support that led him to the title.

“It’s been a good year battling, but to get the win has just been awesome,” Snodgrass expressed. “I knew Lachy was going to be tough competition, and to come out on top in that battle is amazing.

“I was confident coming here that the track was going to be a lot of fun and I just kept on practicing and it all came together.
This year I think has been about hard work, a lot of practice, and definitely working with Milner has been helping as well.

“He’s been showing me a few things so it’s good to have him help me out and have KTM 1-2 in the Outright – [it’s] pretty cool. Omeo was an awesome place for the event, and the KTM 300 EXC was just a heap of fun on these tracks.”

The number 78 will head to Brive in France at the end of the month to represent Australia at the 2017 International Six-Days Enduro (ISDE), alongside a selection of the country’s top enduro riders.
