Teams will hit the track this weekend at Murray Bridge sporting unique liveries for the one-off 2017 Motul MX Nationals retro round in South Australia.

According to series promotor Kevin Williams, the idea behind the retro round is to enjoy bringing back the good and the bad trends of the past.

“Every season we have a themed Retro Round which gives our teams and riders the chance to deck their bikes out in some awesome decals from the past,” said Williams.

“Throughout every decade of motocross we have seen trends come and go. There have been some great looks and some not so great looks – this weekend it’s all about bringing some of those back and having a bit of fun with it.”

This weekend’s event will be a treat for South Australian fans as the retro round makes its first appearance in Murray Bridge for 2017.

“This will be the first time that we have held the Retro Round at Murray Bridge, so I think the South Australians will love the blast from the past at round five on Sunday.

“We’ve already seen a sneak peek of the Team WBR Bulk Nutrients bikes which have turned completely purple for this weekend, and we all can’t wait to see what our other teams and of course our gear designers come up with for this Sunday.”

The 2017 Murray Bridge Motul MX Nationals retro round will take place this weekend on Sunday, 28 May.
