Milner continues winning AORC form at Miva

Another pair of wins enables former champion to extend advantage.

KTM Enduro Racing Team’s Daniel Milner continued his strong 2017 Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship form at Miva’s third and fourth rounds of the series claiming two outright victories for the weekend.

In the E1 category it was defending champion Jack Simpson who took top honours on Saturday, he claimed victory ahead of Scott Keegan and Wil Ruprecht.

In the E2 class it was Milner who took out the win aboard his factory KTM machine, following Milner it was Josh Green in second place and Riley Graham in third.

Taking out the win in the E3 category for round three was Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team’s Lachlan Stanford, he came out ahead of factory KTM newcomer Lyndon Snodgrass and Tom Mason.

In the Enduro Junior category it was Fraser Higlett in first-place followed by Michael Driscoll and Reynders Jonte. In the Womens category it was Jemma Wilson who claimed victory ahead of Sophie Coldicutt and Tamara Gray.

Sunday’s fourth round of racing action saw Keegan claim the victory in E1 ahead of Ruprecht and Simpson who was handed a five-minute penalty.

In the E2 class it was Milner who again rode to the win ahead of Green and Graham and in the E3 category it was Stanford, Snodgrass and Mason replicating Saturday’s podium result.

Outright it was Milner who again topped the charts to make it a perfect weekend of racing ahead of Simpson in second place and Green rounding out the top three.

The Enduro Junior class saw Higlett, Driscoll and Jonte replicate their round three results and in the Womens class it was Wilson on top followed by Emelie Karlsson and Coldicutt.

The 2017 Australian Off-Road Championship will next head to Renmark in South Australia for rounds five and six of the series on 24-25 June.
