Peters aiming for maximum points at Appin

Wilson Coolair Motul Suzuki:

Wilson Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki’s Kyle Peters will continue his attempt to race towards a 2017 MX1 Championship, when the Motul MX Nationals resumes for round two at Appin in New South Wales this Sunday.

Peters, who showed impressive form when he led the majority of moto one at Wonthaggi just a few weeks ago, has continued to refine his program ahead of racing this weekend, and will take to the line on Sunday with the hope of collecting crucial championship points aboard his Suzuki RMZ-450.

The American rider who is based out of Victoria for the Motul MX Nationals season, says that he’s been working harder than ever in preparation for round two, and that he’ll be aiming to put two solid races together this coming Sunday.

“I’m feeling really good ahead of this weekend, I’ve done a lot of testing with the team and my mechanic Luke the last few weeks and I feel as strong and confident as ever so I’m ready to make a statement this weekend,” Peters said.

“I’ve never raced at Appin before but it’s the same with most of the tracks here, they’re all new to me. I’ve watched some videos and looked into how the track has formed up in the year’s passed and I think it’s going to suit me very well.

“I proved at round one that my speed is there, and I’m going to do everything I can to go and win this weekend and make up some points in this championship.”

Peters’ teammate Luke Wilson will sit out round two of the Motul MX Nationals on Sunday.

The 2017 Motul MX Nationals will continue with round two to be contested at Appin in New South Wales on Sunday, 23 April. Visit www.mxnationals.com.au for further information on the series.
