Antti Hellsten will join the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team ahead of the upcoming EnduroGP World Championship event in Spain set to take place this weekend on 21-23 April.

Hellsten, who currently leads the EnduroGP standings following the opening round in Finland, will fill-in for injured factory Husqvarna regular Mathias Bellino as he recovers from a shoulder injury sustained prior to the season-opener.

Aboard the Husqvarna FE 350, 27-year-old Hellsten will be a perfect fit within the team according to Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team manager Andreas Hölzl.

“We’re really looking forward to working with Antti Hellsten as Mathias Bellino continues his recovery from injury,” said Hölzl. “Positively surprising us with his double class victory at the season opening GP of Finland, we strongly believe Antti will be a perfect fit to our team as a replacement Mathias.”

Hellsten currently leads the EnduroGP standings by 12 points over Australia’s Matthew Phillips with seven rounds remaining on the 2017 schedule.
