Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral/Yamaha Financial Services/Yamaha Racing Team’s Cooper Webb will finally return from injury this weekend in Detroit’s 12th round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross.

The 450SX rookie was injured last month in Minneapolis and hasn’t lined up since, but has officially confirmed his return alongside Australian teammate Chad Reed on Saturday night.

“I’m extremely excited to be back racing this weekend,” Webb said. “I’ve never been to Ford Field, so I’m looking forward to racing somewhere new and being back for all my fans. I’ve been working hard doing therapy for my shoulder and getting myself ready to race again, so I’m very eager to get back out there! I feel good and I’m ready to go!”

After missing the past five main events, Webb has dropped to 13th in the championship standings. His best result of the season came in Oakland, where he was third behind title contenders Ryan Dungey (Red Bull KTM) and Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Kawasaki).
