Australian motocross legend Craig Anderson will form part of the broadcast team in the rebranded ‘MX Live on NRGTV’ livestream coverage of the Motul MX Nationals in 2017.

Anderson, who has 14 national championships to his credit, will join returning MX Live regulars Aiden Williams and Joe Stevens as trackside and technical expert presenter at all 10 rounds.

“I’m really excited to be joining the MX Live crew,” Anderson said. “A few months ago Kevin Williams gave me a call and we had a chat about me possibly joining the livestream team for 2017, so it’s going to be a new challenge that’s for sure.

“Being a racer myself and being involved in the sport for such a long time, I’ve been through most aspects of racing, I know the riders, and feel like that’s going to help bring something new to the broadcast.

“Being on the other end of the microphone is going to be a completely new thing for me so I’m a bit nervous, but I think that’s a good thing. I’ve always enjoyed that aspect of racing and by being able to relate to the riders from a rider’s perspective is going to be awesome for the viewers.

“I’ve been through the highs and the lows, I’ve been injured and had to race, and even just little things like adapting to the track throughout the day – I raced professionally for 18 years and I know it’s not always plain sailing, so I’m excited to ask riders the tough questions and really share with viewers what these guys do week in week out.”

In addition to taking on the role of presenter, Anderson will also serve as the Motul MX Nationals rider liaison for 2017. The first live broadcast of MX Live on NRGTV will take place at round one of the 2017 Motul MX Nationals on Sunday, 2 April, from Wonthaggi in Victoria.
