Australia’s Daniel Sanders will make his Enduro World Championship (EnduroGP) debut in 2017 with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing after confirming a two-year deal with the team.

Announcing the team details via social media, Sanders looks forward to a continued relationship with KTM as he prepares to make the move to his Italian base for the next two racing seasons.

“So this year I’m not racing the Australian Championship as some people may know already,” said Sanders, who earlier confirmed with MotoOnline.com.au that he was heading overseas. “I’m going to be racing the World Enduro Championship.

“I will be based in Italy and chasing that world championship for two years,” he explained. “I’m stoked to stay with KTM and race for their factory team, they have been behind me my whole career.”

Riding for the factory KTM squad against the best enduro racers in the world is a dream come true for the currently Melbourne-based off-road ace, who won the 2016 Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC).

“It’s awesome to race for a team you’ve looked up to since a kid and only dream of it happening,” he added. “I’m looking forward to this new experience and take on the world, time to make it happen!”

Sanders’ former Australian KTM Enduro Racing Team will now field a two-man team featuring Daniel Milner and Lyndon Snodgrass for the 2017 season, which was announced towards the end of last year.

The 2017 EnduroGP series is set to kick off on 25-26 March at the Grand Prix of Finland where Sanders will make his maiden appearance in the hotly-contested championship.
