DPH Motorsport will field a new-look line-up for the 2017 Australian motocross and supercross championships with Kade Mosig in MX1 and Wilson Todd in MX2.

After earning fourth in the Motul MX Nationals and sixth in the Australian Supercross Championship with the National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki outfit, Mosig will return to DPH Motorsport – who he previously raced for in 2014 – in the upcoming year.

Todd, a MX2 rookie in this year’s championships, will move from Serco Yamaha to the Victorian-based squad, where the team has signified their long-term intentions with the 18-year-old by signing him to a two-year deal.

The Queenslander showed promising form throughout the 2016 season, displaying his versatility across both disciplines of motocross and supercross, despite his limited experience on the tight and technical circuits.

“Throughout supercross DPH Motorsport approached me,” Todd explained to MotoOnline.com.au. “They said they wanted to do a deal with me – the team is getting better and better every year, and they’re all really enthusiastic. It’s a fun and friendly environment, and everything I’ve asked for has been done – nothing has been too hard.

“I’ll be starting fresh with a new team, and I’ll be there for two years, so I’m hoping we can go out and win the next two years. I’m super excited to get started, I’ll be going to Victoria in the first week of January to begin training. I’ll be living with the Beaton’s before Jed goes to Europe, the team will be close and everything should work out pretty well.

“There’s one 250 rider and one 450 rider – there’s no one on the team that I’m competing against. All the focus will be on me, and when Kade goes out, all the focus is on him. In between, we’re able to talk about the track and there aren’t any favourites.”

Hayden Mellross is also scheduled to make a guest appearance with DPH Motorsport at rounds four and five of the Motul MX Nationals series, while he is also pencilled in to contest the 2017 Australian Supercross Championship.
