Reardon confirms position at Star Racing Yamaha

Former Australian champion secures US 250SX seat.

Multiple Australian supercross and motocross champion Dan Reardon has confirmed his position at Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha that will see him replace injured athlete Colt Nichols for the 2017 Monster Energy Supercross 250SX Western Regional Championship.

Reardon, who spoke of his interest in returning to the quarter-litre category in America last week while testing with the team, made the announcement this afternoon.

“I’m excited to announce I’ll be racing for Star Racing Yamaha in the AMA supercross west coast [championship],” Reardon revealed via a social media post. “Ever since making the return back to racing, I’ve wanted to be here racing the best. I’m very thankful for this opportunity and I can’t wait till A1.”

An official announcement from the team is expected to be made in the coming days.
