Motorcycling Australia (MA) has released the official 2017 Motul MX Nationals calendar featuring a selection of date and location changes throughout the 10-round series.

As expected, Wonthaggi will serve as the opening round on 1-2 April in a welcomed return to the series for 2017, as Horsham now moves to round four on 21 May after hosting the opening round for the past two seasons.

Queensland’s Conondale, the to be announced penultimate venue and Coolum rounds have been slightly shuffled ahead of the new year, with the Conondale event moving to the first-half of the series as round three on 7 May.

With the exit of the Broadford round from the calendar and the bi-annual Wanneroo event not taking place for 2017, not only will Wonthaggi return to the series, but Port Macquarie also now features as round eight on 30 July.

The series will again finish up in the dark sands of Coolum for 2017, although the updated calendar will see the motocross season wrap up one week earlier than it did in 2016.
