Waters and Wilson confident ahead of round eight of the MX Nationals

Wilson’s Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki press release:

As the 2016 season reaches the pointy end of the championship, Wilson Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki’s Todd Waters and Luke Wilson are preparing to converge on country Victoria with Round 8 of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals taking place at Shepparton this Sunday July 31.

After a podium finish for Waters and a top ten result for Wilson at Round 7, the Wilson Coolair Motul Factory Suzuki Team are looking to carry the positive momentum in to this weekends racing, with both Waters and Wilson optimistic of more top results.

Waters who finished just shy of the round overall win at Conondale, is feeling fit and healthy ahead of Round 8, and is excited to head to the Shepparton circuit for the first time in his career this Sunday.

“I’m feeling good, we had a good round at Conondale – we rode well and I made some bike improvements. During the weekend off last weekend I went to Newcastle and did some testing and we’re definitely on track for these last few rounds,” Waters shared.

“Shepparton is a new track for me, but what I heard from last year is that it’s rutty and technical, so that suits me and I’m looking forward to battling with the front guys.

“We’ve made a lot of bike improvements recently and I’m feeling really comfortable, so we’re nice and prepared for this weekend.”

Wilson, who despite not being able to race at Shepparton in 2015 due to injury, shared that he is looking forward to searching for more top ten results in the premier Thor MX1 class at Round 8 this Sunday.

“Last year I was actually recovering from a wrist injury and obviously the track was really rough and rutty so I sat out of the Shepparton round, so this weekend will be my first time racing there,” Wilson shared.

“I’m really looking forward to Shepparton, I had a positive round at Conondale and we’ve got a bit of a ball rolling at the moment so I’m hoping to keep that momentum going.

“I’ve been practicing concrete starts and they felt really good so I’m looking forward to this weekend.”
