National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team's Mosig gunning for Shepparton repeat

Kawasaki Motors Australia press release:

National Pump Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team’s MX1 racer Kade Mosig is eagerly anticipating the 2016 MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship’s return to Shepparton, Victoria, on Sunday, 31 July.

Last year the Victorian stormed to the round win in the orange dirt at Shepparton and is eager to keep his defense intact as he sets his sights on a top three placing in the MX1 championship hunt. Mosig is currently fourth in the standings.

“This will be round eight of the championship and I’ve got the number eight on the front of my bike, so there’s some good synergy going on there,” Mosig joked. “As well has winning at Shepparton last year, this is the third and final race in my home state, so I’m excited to get out there and give it a good shot in front of my family and friends.”

After a consistent 3-4 result at the rain-soaked round seven an Conondale, Queensland two weeks ago, Mosig said they’ve made further improvements to the set-up of his 2016 KX450F and is feeling very confident about returning to racing this weekend.

“I feel we’ve made some serious progress over the past two weeks and having the whole team behind me working to give me the best possible chance of winning races has been a great opportunity,” he added. “The Shepparton track has a tendency to get really rutted and it also has the only concrete starting gate of the series, so that’s another factor we have to deal with.”

The gates will open at 7.30am for Sunday’s eighth round of the MX Nationals at Shepparton. Tickets are available at the gate.
