Form

Our picks:
Dean Ferris (MX1) – At this point in time CDR Yamaha’s Dean Ferris is the in-form rider of the MX1 category. He now has two wins in a row and will be doing everything he can to keep that streak alive in Shepparton.

Jed Beaton (MX2) – Beaton has been strong of late in the MX2 class, creeping up on series leader Nathan Crawford at each round. If the track is muddy, the DPH Motorsport rider is almost a sure thing, if it’s dry? He’s still a solid pick for the win.

Next best:
Kirk Gibbs (MX1) – Gibbs continues to lead the MX1 championship, but nursing an injured knee, and with the added pressure of his championship defence, he just seems to be a tick off the pace lately.

Nathan Crawford (MX2) – Crawford is a dangerous rider at all times, but he must be smart to ensure he holds that red plate at the final round, look for the Husqvarna rider to be right there making smart decisions this weekend.

Outside chances:
Todd Waters (MX1) – Waters has claimed victory this season, so he’s less of an ‘outside chance’ and more of a strong possibility of being right there with Ferris and Gibbs battling for the win.

Caleb Ward (MX2) – Another similar case here as Ward is a definite threat to the overall win, his consistency has been up and down this season and starts are proving to be a large factor for the factory KTM rider.

Watch for:
MX1 – Kade Mosig, Dylan Long, Jay Wilson, Jacob Wright

MX2 – Jayden Rykers, Wilson Todd, Dylan Wills, Kale Makeham,
