Team Australia has commenced a crowd-funding campaign in a bid to defend its International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) crowns at the 2016 event located at Navarra Circuito in Spain.

With government funding slashed for this year despite the Australians winning the World, Junior, Women and Wattling Trophies for the first time last season, the team is hoping to raise funds via GoFundMe.

“Motorcycling Australia has kicked in $30k to get us started, but with a budget totallying $150k to compete we are well short,” a statement on the page said. “We are hoping that with sponsors and the good people of Australia we can get enough funds to make this happen. Please help us get over to Spain in November and keep Australia on the top step of the world.”

The GoFundMe page can be found at www.gofundme.com/aussie6day and be sure to Like and support the Team Australia 6 Day Enduro page on Facebook for the latest updates from the Aussie squad.
