Unsung performances that caught our attention on Sunday.

MotoOnline.com.au highlights three standout performances from the weekend’s fifth round of the 2016 Motul MX Nationals at Wanneroo in Western Australia. Radar isn’t strictly about the winners, it’s about the unsung racers that we spot performing above expectations on any given race weekend.

Jamie Law (KTM) – MX1, seventh overall:
We’re becoming accustomed to seeing Jamie Law travel to Australia, most specifically WA, for a number of seasons. The British charger had a top day in the sands of Wanneroo, qualifying 10th before carding 7-8-6 moto results across the three premier class MX1 motos and in the company of many top domestic regulars.

Mitch Taylor (Suzuki) – MX1, 10th overall:
Local Suzuki-mounted privateer Mitch Taylor made a strong impression in the sand within the MX1 category, eventually finishing 10th overall after featuring at the pointy-end on a number of occasions. Racing to 11th in moto one, 12th in the second and a head-turning eighth in the third, it was an impressive showing on Sunday.

Jake Fewster (Husqvarna) – MX2, 12th overall:
Much of the Western Australian attention was cast upon local series regulars toward the front of the field, but not too far behind them came Husqvarna TC 250 racer Jake Fewster. With a 12-11-14 scorecard to his credit, Fewster was a credible 12th overall when the final chequered flag flew in MX2.
