The AUS-X Open is on track to return to Allphones Arena in Sydney during November 2016, following an extremely successful inaugural event late last year.

The flagship event is once again anticipated to span across two days of competition, consisting of a freestyle motocross ‘Best Trick’ contest along with a complete supercross schedule.

After a busy month of January that saw event directors Adam Bailey and Ryan Sanderson head to the United States, both have returned with an exciting list of riders and ideas for 2016.

“After spending time at each factory test track including Husqvarna, KTM, Kawasaki, Yamaha and Honda, talks between riders, team managers and other close rider personnel proved very successful,” said AME director Adam Bailey.

“What the most amazing thing was how recognized the event is internationally after just one year – it’s incredible. It shows that an event of this stature was critical for Australian racing in so many ways, from the sports recognition, the riders and the industry also.

“We have a few heavy hitters in mind that’s for sure – all guys who are prominent fixtures, both present and past, of AMA supercross racing. We definelty feel as though a 2016 event will be another unmissable experience.”

Over the next few months, fans can expect to be kept up to date with all announcements regarding riders, structure and ticket information via AUS-X Open’s social media pages and website.
