Penrite Honda Wilson MX Sydney bound for round five

Wilson MX press release:

Penrite Honda Wilson MX is prepped and ready for one of the biggest races of the year, when the fifth round of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship is held at Allphones Arena in Sydney this weekend.

After an action packed round four of the series in Queensland last weekend, the four-man Penrite Honda Wilson MX Team will be provided with the opportunity of a lifetime at round five, when the Honda mounted squad race for a sold out Sydney crowd.

With the dynamic track set to mix things up across the board, and international stars lining up at round five, this weekend will mark one of the most action packed events on the 2015 motorcycling calendar.

Jackson Richardson:

“I had a fair bit of bad luck at round four, so I’m really keen to turn things around in Sydney and keep it on two wheels,” he said.

“I’ve raced this sort of track and venue in America, so it will be good to have that little bit of experience on my side, but in saying that everyone is really excited about this event and all the guys are going out there to win.

“The track layout is pretty cool – there are some sections that are going to be a lot of fun and that ramp finish is going to be awesome to hit. I’m excited and just want to get a solid result for the team.”

Geran Stapleton:

“Everyone loves indoor racing and I know I am really excited to be getting back to an indoor venue for round five this weekend,” he said.

“The atmosphere, the fans, and the tight racing is going to make this event huge so hopefully I can keep it all together and put on a show for everyone.

“I’ve been to New Zealand this week, and now I’m back for racing this weekend so it’s been a crazy few days but I’m looking forward to lining up tomorrow and banging bars with everyone.”

Jake Williams:

“It’s been a challenging series so far, but this weekend is going to be a cracker no matter what happens,” he said.

“There is so much hype with Chad Reed and Cooper Webb out here to race, and I’m just looking forward to having a go at the track and seeing what we can do for the crowd.

“We have the bikes all set up for the indoor venue, and if we can all stay on two wheels it’s going to be a good weekend.

Luke Wilson:

“Last weekend was great – I only had the chance to ride three times before round four so I’m feeling really confident ahead of this weekend after some more solid preparation,” he said.

“I feel that I could get a top five result this weekend, and it’s really nice to hear that come out of my mouth and actually believe it.

“I’m looking forward to getting solid results and hitting a freestyle ramp for 15 laps is going to be a lot of fun!”

The Wilson MX Team will now head to Sydney in New South Wales on November 28 for Round 5 of the Australian Supercross Series.
