Penrite Honda aim to maintain consistency in Jimboomba

Penrite Honda Racing press release:

The Penrite Honda Racing team will be looking to maintain consistency at this weekend’s fourth round of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship presented by Penrite Oils at Jimboomba X Stadium.

Jimmy Decotis is undefeated in the SX2 class, having claimed all three rounds wins to date. The American will take a 13 point lead into tomorrow night’s event and said he is concentrating on the championship.

“Consistency is the key to winning any championship so I need to be smart as we head into the final three round,” Decotis said.

“Three wins from three rounds is a perfect score, but it hasn’t been easy. Racing the local Aussie guys has been tough, especially Luke (Clout), who has really made me work for the wins.

“We’ve had a couple of weeks break coming into this weekend’s round back at Jimboomba and I’ve just been working hard with the crew at Penrite Honda Racing to keep doing what we’ve been doing, because the formula has been working,” he added.

Meanwhile teammate Gavin Faith heads into tomorrows Jimboomba X Stadium race intent on getting his 2015 SX1 campaign back on track.

“The series kicked off okay this year at the first round at Bathurst, where we finished third and made the podium, which was a good first hit out on the 450,” said Faith.

“Since then, I’ve been tasting a little too much dirt, and luck just hasn’t been on my side so this weekend at Jimboomba is definitely the time to get things turned around.

“We have done some testing between rounds and have changed the engine. We have also tested different tyre combinations so I am feeling confident we have moved in a positive direction and we will be in a better position this coming weekend.
