Penrite Honda Wilson MX return to four man team at Jimboomba

Wilson MX press release:

Penrite Honda Wilson MX is preparing to head back to Jimboomba this weekend, as the fourth round of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship is hosted in Queensland once again.

After a three week break from racing, the Honda mounted squad will get back to business this weekend, returning to a complete four man line up with Luke Wilson returning to the SX2 field after sitting out round three.

With reports that Jimboomba is set to deliver a completely revamped track layout, and with the Wilson MX team having already experienced success at the venue earlier this season, all team members are eager to get back to the track and put on a performance on the team’s home turf.

Jackson Richardson:

“It’s going to be a good weekend! We had an awesome round last time we were at Jimboomba, and I’m looking forward to getting back in to it,” he said.

“I’m feeling very comfortable on the Honda, and it’s been good to have a few extra weeks to dial it all in before we head in to back to back rounds.

“I’m still in contention for the championship, and the whole team and I have been working very hard to stay consistent every round. The goal this weekend will obviously be to get on the podium, and make up some more championship points before the last couple of rounds.”

Geran Stapleton:

“It’s been nice to have a few weeks away from racing, but I always love getting back into it, and if the last round at Jimboomba is anything to go by, then J2 is going to be even better,” he said.

“I have sort of been stuck getting top five results and it’s doing my head in (laughs) so I’m planning on not getting any top five’s this weekend.

“I’ve had some good results in the ‘Dash for Cash’ races, and it’s always good to have some battles and put on a good show for everyone, but if we can do that, and put it all together in the main, then we’ll be on track for a good weekend.

Jake Williams:

“Everyone keeps talking about how nice the break was, but I was up in Queensland doing the 24 hour scooter race, so I haven’t really had a holiday (laughs),” he said.

“I haven’t had the results I would have liked so far, and the SX2 class is very strong this year, but as always I’ll be heading out to give it my best shot this weekend, and I’m pretty pumped to ride the new track layout.

“Racing with the Wilson MX guys is an awesome opportunity, so I’m going to make the most of it this weekend and hopefully get some improved results.”

Luke Wilson:

“I’m feeling good about this weekend. I’ve only had three days on the bike since J1, but I’m feeling confident,” he said.

“Kade Mosig and I have been riding together which has been a big help to me, so I’m pretty excited to get back out there.

“I had some awesome pace at Jimboomba last round, so I’m excited to try and put it up the pointy end this weekend.”

The Wilson MX Team will now head to Jimboomba on November 21 for Round 4 of the Australian Supercross Series.
