On Australian motorsport’s biggest weekend of the year, it is entirely fitting that Supercheap Auto has been named as the major sponsor of the opening round of the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship.

The new-look national supercross championship chase fires into life this Saturday, 10 October, at Bathurst on the very same weekend the annual Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 V8 Supercar race descends on the famed Mount Panorama.

And this year both Bathurst-based events are sponsored by Supercheap Auto, one of Australasia’s leading automotive retailers with more than 300 stores across Australia and New Zealand.

“Supercheap Auto has enjoyed a long and very successful partnership with V8 Supercars at the Bathurst 1000 and now we are delighted to be involved with the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship’s opening round at Bathurst Showground on the same weekend,” explained Supercheap Auto’s sponsorship and promotions manager Dane Patterson.

“Supercross is a perfect partner for V8 Supercars and staging two major events in the same town, on the same weekend, is the ideal way to broaden the reach of the Supercheap Auto brand to all motorsport enthusiasts.”

Supercheap Auto is the major sponsor of the Bathurst round of the Australian Supercross Championship, and will then continue its association with the sport as a sponsorship partner through the following Jimboomba (QLD), Adelaide (SA), Sunshine Coast (QLD) and Melbourne (VIC) rounds of the series.

Supercheap Auto is a sponsor of many Australian motorsport teams and activities, highlighted by the Supercheap Auto Racing V8 Supercars team, which will field Tim Slade and Tony D’Alberto in a Walkinshaw Racing Commodore in this weekend’s ‘Great Race’.
