Penrite Honda Wilson MX will expand to include American Supercross regular Jackson Richardson when the 2015 Australian Supercross Championship starts at Bathurst, New South Wales, this Saturday, 10 October.

North Queenslander Richardson will line up alongside SX2 team regulars Luke Wilson, Geran Stapleton and Jake Williams, coming off a full season in the AMA Western Regional 250SX series where he was 13th in the standings.

“I’m feeling really good about this weekend,” Richardson commented. “I am comfortable with the equipment, so it’s going to be good. I’m hoping to be on the podium for sure, that would be nice, but it’s going to be tough.

“There are fast guys over here like Clouty and Jay Wilson, plus there’s Decotis from America so it’s going to be a stacked field for sure. Decotis is an amazing rider and he’s super-talented, so he’s going to be the guy to beat in my class that’s for sure.

“Being on the Wilson MX team is awesome. Rides these days are a dime a dozen, so to be picked up at this late stage is a real privilege and I just can’t wait to start racing.”

Richardson had a mixed showing in last year’s Australian Supercross Championship, eventually credited sixth in the standings on board a privateer Honda across the five rounds.
