Cross country contender to be released in 450cc version.

Yamaha Motor Australia has confirmed plans to release a YZ450FX model in 2016 following the bike’s official unveil in the American market earlier today.

While specific details such as pricing and a release date will be announced later this month locally, the 2016 Yamaha YZ450FX is a continuation of the brand’s X line-up alongside the YZ250FX and new two-stroke YZ250X.

The YZ450F-based Keihin 44mm throttle body fuel injection system is tuned for cross country racing and ensures smooth throttle response and easy starting in nearly all conditions.

Industry-leading, YZ450F-derived KYB spring-type forks with speed sensitive damping and a KYB rear shock both feature fully-adjustable settings designed specifically for cross country racing.
