Visitors to the 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show at Sydney Showgrounds on 20-22 November will get to witness some of Australia’s best motorcycle racers competing head-to-head in the Honda Motorcycles Head2Head EnduroCross.

The Honda Motorcycles Head2Head EnduroCross will see riders duel on a 2500sqm purpose built track located within the 3000-seat Charles Moses Stadium.

In a unique brand of competition, riders will compete on a track that incorporates all the standard endurocross obstacles including logs, rocks, tyres and sand.

Honda Motorcycles brand and motorsport manager Glyn Griffiths said visitors to the 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show would get to see a style of racing that is normally only held in rural locations.

“Honda Motorcycles is excited to be supporting the Head2Head EnduroCross at the Sydney Motorcycle Show,” Griffiths said. “This event brings together some of Australian motorcycling’s most prominent racers and creates great racing for riders and spectators alike.”

Riders confirmed for the Honda Motorcycles Head2Head EnduroCross include off-road legend Ben Grabham, eight-time Australian Motocross/Supercross Champion Jay Marmont and World Freestyle Trials Champion Jack Field.

Grabham, a four-time Finke Desert Race winner, three-time Australian Safari winner and multi-time winner of the Hattah Desert Race and Condo 750 said he is looking forward to making a return to racing.

“Last year was the first year of the Head2Head EnduroCross and it created some of the best action all year for both the racers and spectators,” Grabham said. “The races are only short so it’s all or nothing. There were some very wild moves, big crashes and even some heated moments between riders last year. I am definitely looking forward to more of this again in Sydney.”

Following its successful debut at MOTO EXPO Melbourne event organiser Troy Bayliss said he was pleased to be bringing the unique concept to the 2015 Sydney Motorcycle Show.

“This format was a huge hit with visitors to MOTO EXPO in Melbourne so we were really keen to incorporate it into the Sydney Motorcycle Show program,” Bayliss explained. “It does give racing fans an extremely rare opportunity to see these riders competing together in the one place.”

Entry into the Sydney Motorcycle Show includes access to the Honda Motorcycles Head2Head EnduroCross, riders will practice on Friday, 20 November, with racing on Saturday, 21 and Sunday, 22 November.

A full list of riders including current all stars and past champions will be announced over the coming weeks.

Visitors to the Sydney Motorcycle Show will be invited to participate in motorcycle, UTV and electric bike test rides and will be entertained by Australia’s leading motorcycle stunt performers including Jack Field, who will juggle dual roles at the event, Showtime FMX and renowned street bike stunt rider Dave McKenna.
