USGP standout Josh Grant has revealed he would consider a fulltime transition to grand prix racing after winning the qualifying heat and second MXGP race at Glen Helen on Sunday.

Since the closure of Chad Reed’s TwoTwo Motorsports team mid-year, Glen Helen specialist Grant has formed part of Monster Energy Kawasaki in the US and finished 13th in the Pro Motocross series.

However the 29-year-old’s yet to secure a deal at home for next year, which could lead to a surprise MXGP World Championship campaign if the right deal emerged during the current off-season.

β€œAt the moment I have nothing for 2016,” Grant told MXlarge. β€œI would move to Europe for sure, if something comes up, and I would do it tomorrow. If something was on the table in Europe I would do it, I would love to race the grands prix. I just love riding my dirt bike.”

Grant, who also won a Pro Motocross moto at Glen Helen in 2014 as part of JGR Yamaha, impressed last weekend despite twisting his ankle while leading moto one, on his way to second overall behind world champion Romain Febvre.
