CDR Yamaha’s Kade Mosig has continued his impressive form by capturing the provisional pole position for this weekend’s final round of the 2015 MX Nationals at Coolum, Queensland.

Mosig topped today’s lone MX1 qualifying session and will lead the field into Sunday morning’s Super Pole session after setting a 1m45.854 on a cool and overcast afternoon.

Behind Mosig was championship leader Kirk Gibbs (KTM Motocross Racing Team), less that two-tenths of a second in arrears, while Adam Monea (NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki) was a further second back in third.

Completing the Super Pole contenders will be Ben Townley (Penrite Honda Racing) in position four and Gibbs’ teammate Luke Styke, making his second shootout of the year.

Queensland’s Daniel Reardon (CDR Yamaha) was sixth quickest ahead of Team Motul Suzuki teenage stand-in Egan Mastin, while Lawson Bopping (Peter Stevens DPH Motorsport Yamaha), Dylan Long (NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki) and Cody Cooper (Penrite Honda Racing) filled the top 10.

The race for the MX2 title will see reigning title holder Luke Clout (Serco Yamaha) take first pick of the gates tomorrow after qualifying fastest at 1m48.515s, with Nathan Crawford (Husqvarna) splitting the two championship challengers.

Series red plate holder Jay Wilson (JCR Yamaha) slotted into third behind Clout and Crawford, with Jed Beaton (Serco Yamaha) a solid fourth over Takeshi Katsuya (Sony Action Cam Kawasaki).

In MXD it will be Wilson Todd (GYTR Yamaha) starting from pole with a full second advantage, as he attempts to seal the Under 19s crown on Sunday.

Trailing Todd in second was Jayden Rykers (KTM), as Bailey Coxon (Yamaha), Jesse Madden (Raceline Pirelli Suzuki) and Mitch Evans (GYTR Yamaha) rounded out the top five.
