Alpinestars Australia will welcome all kinds of high profile sports stars when the gates drop on the final round of the 2015 MX Nationals at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast this weekend.

With all championships still yet to be decided, Coolum will play host to yet another title deciding event, with thousands set to pour through the gates at the Coolum Motocross Track on 29-30 August.

“Alpinestars has long been a partner of the MX Nationals and this weekend we will together be hosting some of the biggest names in extreme sport,” MX Nationals promoter Kevin Williams commented.

“With the likes of V8 Supercars drivers, world road racing champions and current Australian surfing stars all confirmed as attendees this Sunday, it really highlights the quality of racing we have here in Australia.”

Alpinestars VIPs confirmed to be heading to the final showdown this weekend include Jamie Whincup, Craig Lowndes, Aussie motorcycling legend Mick Doohan and surfing icon Mick Fanning.

“The final round at Coolum not only attracts motorcycling fans, but some of the biggest names in Australian sport, so we are very excited to have a long list of VIPs coming out to support our motocross stars on Sunday,” Williams added.

“As the series grows, more and more athletes across all sports are flocking to our final round at Coolum in August. With athletes like Mick Fanning, Julian Wilson, Jason Crump, Troy Bayliss and more, all confirmed to be attending this weekend, it will be very exciting for the series, as well as riders, teams and fans alike.”
