Penrite Honda Wilson MX will welcome back Luke Wilson from injury, alongside teammate Geran Stapleton at round eight of the 2015 MX Nationals in Nowra this Sunday.

After a tough round at Shepparton just two weeks ago, the Wilson MX privateer effort will head to New South Wales this weekend, rejuvenated and ready to tackle the eighth round of the series.

For Wilson, the addition time to heal his injured thumb has proved to be crucial, and will line up once again in the Motul MX2 class, optimistic of improved results.

“The thumb is still not 100 per cent to be honest, but the plan is to line up again this weekend and see how we go,” he said.

“I’ve only rode a couple of times in the last week, and I tried to push it a bit yesterday but it’s definitely not healed that’s for sure.

“The plan this weekend, will be to line up even if I’m in pain and hopefully that little bit of adrenaline will be just what I need to get through Sunday, and we can get some decent racing in.”

Stapleton, who has endured a difficult two rounds since returning from his mid-season break in America, say’s he’s back to 100 per cent, and is looking forward to taking on a technical Nowra circuit this coming Sunday.

“Thankfully I’m feeling so much better heading into this weekend – I’m not sick any more and I’ve had a good two weeks on the bike in preparation for round eight,” he said.

“Shepparton was a really tough one, and my results were no where near where they should have been, especially after training in America. So I have no plans to be repeating my results at round seven in Nowra that’s for sure.

“I’ve heard the track is pretty tight and technical which I actually enjoy, so with a good two weeks of riding under my belt, I think we should be in for some good racing this Sunday.”
