NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki racers fire up for Nowra

Monea and Long to continue MX Nationals assault on Sunday.

Monster Energy Australia press release:

NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki counterparts Adam Monea and Dylan Long are headed to the Southern Coast of New South Wales this weekend, as the Nowra circuit plays host for round eight of Australia’s prominent motocross championship – the MX Nationals.

The team encompasses a fierce desire to win this weekend following Adam Monea’s final moto victory during round seven in Shepparton. “Following my win during the previous round, I expect nothing less of myself from here on out.

Importance is at an all time high in keeping this winning momentum rolling in order to make a run at this championship”, stated Monea. Monster Energy MX1 class freshman Dylan Long continues to impress aboard his factory KX450f, however his initial expectations have been blown out of the water following such strong performances.

“I was happy with finishing inside the top ten at the beginning of the series, however now I’m chasing podiums and wins. It’s quite a drastic turnaround especially for a rookie year, although being on the machine I’m on, I feel a podium or a win is absolutely attainable”, commented Long.

This year, the Nowra Motorcycle Club hosts its first ever MX Nationals event, with each rider offering a warm embrace towards the circuit. “I’m very excited to race the Nowra circuit and give the fans a thrilling show. Preparations have begun on similar surfaces to ensure I’m familiar with the terrain”, Monea stated.

“I’m ready to go racing wherever, whenever and give it 100%. The plan is to attack the track and bring out the Monster in myself for round eight”, stated Long.

Gates open at 7:30am to the Nowra circuit, with on track action commencing at 8:30am.
