Team Motul Suzuki launch into second half of MX Nationals

Moss and Makeham certain for success at Raymond Terrace.

Team Motul Suzuki press release:

Team Motul Suzuki riders Matt Moss and Kale Makeham are ready to launch into the second half of the 2015 MX Nationals when the series gets back underway this weekend.

Raymond Terrace will play host to the sixth round of the championship this Sunday the 5th of July with Matt Moss ready to put a difficult first half of the year behind him and put his best foot forward on a track that has provided him with some great success in the past.

The two time reigning MX1 champion picked up the round win at the venue last year aboard his Suzuki RM-Z450 and will be aiming to the same again on Sunday after spending the five week mid season break putting in some solid testing and training.

“I am feeling really good heading into this weekend,” Moss commented. “I have done everything I could over the past five weeks with my training and my riding to be ready for Raymond Terrace.

“Obviously I have not raced a lot this year and that is in the back of my head, but other than that everything is looking good.

“I have won a few times at Raymond Terrace which is a good thing to know heading in. I am going there this weekend to win, everything has been heading in the right direction with testing and the bike and I a feeling good.” Moss added.

Makeham also made the most of the short break in the racing season to re-focus on what lays ahead.

Like Moss, this weekends venue has been kind to Makeham in the past, picking up his first ever MX2 podium result at Raymond Terrace and his confident his past experience will hold him in good stead in the MX1 class when racing gets underway.

“I spent a week up at Newcastle with the team during the break before spending few weeks back at home in Victoria riding and getting in some solid bike time,” Makeham explained. “The focus on my riding was based on the improvements I needed to make after opening five rounds of the series , which should really help me heading into this weekend.

“I like the Raymond Terrace track, it is probably one of my favourite tracks on the circuit. It was the place I got my first Pro Lites podium and was good for me last year as well,” the first year MX1 racer continued.

“I have some great memories there and have been able to lay down some laps at Raymond Terrace this year as well. I am excited about to get there this weekend.” Makeham concluded.
