Grabham soars to success with Sherco

Grabham claims outright win in NSW round.

Sherco Australia press release:

Broc Grabham’s off-road racing has gone from strength to strength in 2015. The 21 year old from Bathurst raced rounds three and four of the NSW Off-Road Championship at Denman last weekend. Grabham claimed second place in a cross country event on the Saturday before storming home to a convincing outright win on Sunday.

”It was a dusty and rocky race but a good one,” claimed Grabham after Saturday’s event. ”I had a great battle with Glenn Kearney and he just pipped me at the end by 16 seconds. The tracks were goat-track, traditional enduro-style tracks so I had fun. It wasn’t easy. It was old school.” Sunday’s event was an enduro-sprint format with Grabham easily winning the round by a 32-second margin.

”Sunday was good for me. The Sherco 450SEF-R excels in hard enduro terrain and with such smooth power it makes it easier to concentrate on the technical things. My bike’s turning ability is a strong point and when you’re weaving between trees and going your hardest, that is a good thing.” Grabham’s winning performance comes off the back of the recent announcement that the Motul Pirelli Sherco Enduro Team Rider has been selected to represent Australia on the four-rider Junior Trophy Team at this year’s International Six Day Enduro in Slovakia.

”I’m excited that I was selected by Motorcycling Australia to be on the team,” said Grabham. “I’m a bit nervous about the travel and the language but I’m keen for the racing. To ride for Australia is a big deal and our Junior Team for riders under 23-years is strong. I think we will do well.”

Broc Grabham and the Motul Pirelli Sherco Enduro Team will be back in action Saturday May 23 for round five and six of the Australian Off-Road Championship at Karoonda, South Australia.
