Team Motul Suzuki press release:

Team Motul Suzuki are South Australia bound to contest the fourth round of the 2015 MX Nationals this Sunday the 17th of May at the loamy Murray Bridge Motocross Track.

Leading the charge for the team will once again be first year MX1 racer Kale Makeham who is fresh off the back of his maiden top five moto result at round three at Broadford.

The Suzuki RM-Z450 pilot has consistently improved his results at the opening three rounds of the championship to-date and after a positive hit-out at this weekends venue two weeks ago at the opening round of the South Australian Championships is confident his overall performance will continue to improve this Sunday.

“I am feeling good heading into this weekend, I had a chance to ride the track at the SA titles a couple of weeks back and that went well.” Makeham commented.

“Since then I have spent some time testing with the team and working on a good sand set up for the up coming rounds.

“We have improved every round so far this season,” the 21 year old continued. “But in saying that there is still a lot of improvement left within me and we are continuing to build each round.

“If I can get two good starts and ride two solid 30 minute moto’s the results will come.” Makeham concluded.

Team Manager Jay Foreman is also confident that Makeham is heading in the right direction and knows the hard work he is putting in during the week will continue to pay off on race day.

“Kale has been chipping away and getting closer to the front each round and that will be our goal again this weekend.” Foreman stated

“He spent some time up here in Newcastle testing this weekend and continues to improve every time he rides the RM-Z450.”

Unfortunately the teams reigning two time MX Nationals Champion Matt Moss has been forced to the sidelines for the second round in a row as he continues to get back to race fitness after his first turn crash at round two.

“Matt will unfortunately be sidelined again this weekend.” Foreman added. “While he is recovering well from the first corner crash at Appin, he still has not been able to return to riding due to an illness.

“Obviously he is disappointed he won’t be able to line up at Murray Bridge this Sunday and is looking at returning to riding as soon as possible.”
