After an up and down round two of the MX Nationals at Appin, Wilson MX will head to Broadford refreshed and ready to take on the next round of the 2015 series.

For Honda and Penrite backed MX2 riders Luke Wilson and Geran Stapleton, round three is all about redemption and taking on one of the toughest traditional motocross tracks in Australia.

Stapleton, who suffered a number of crashes at round two, says that this round is about keeping it on two wheels and finishing within the top five.

“I’m feeling pretty good heading into this weekend. I’ve had around 10 hours on the bike the past week or so, so my preparation has been not too bad,” he said.

“The main goal this weekend is to keep it on two wheels. I’ve had about eight crashes and we have only had four motos, so the main priority is to keep the bike upright this weekend (laughs).

“Looking at my lap times, I have the speed to be in the top five, so hopefully this weekend Broadford is good to me, and I can get some solid results on the board for the team.”

For Wilson, round three at Broadford provides the opportunity to improve on his results, and says he is excited to get back to the track this weekend.

“I’ve had a pretty good last two weeks on the bike, I’ve been putting in a lot of training and I’m really excited to go racing this weekend,” he said.

“I’ve been doing some riding with Kirk Gibbs and Luke Arbon since Appin, so it’s been helpful to have those fast guys to train with and push me a little bit too.

“I’m not usually a big fan of Broadford, but if I can get some good results and stay safe, hopefully I can leave the track this weekend saying I like the place.”
