Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Todd Waters raced to his second top 10 performance in a row with ninth overall at Neuquen, Argentina, on Sunday.

Riding strong throughout the weekend, Waters was 11th in the first moto and ran as high as seventh in race two, before finally crossing the finish line in ninth to take ninth overall.

“I’m happy to come away with ninth overall,” Waters said. “We made some changes for race two and I got a better start. That allowed me to run with the faster guys in a battle for about seventh and eighth.

“But I lacked some intensity towards the end of the race and dropped off the back of the group for ninth – I know that’s something I’ve got to work on with the team to improve. Hopefully in Italy it will be better.”

With his early run of form, Waters sits a strong eighth in the talent-filled MXGP category following three rounds.
