Husqvarna Enduro Racing Team rider Mike Brown has extended a comfortable lead in the 2015 Enduro-X Nationals after taking the round two victory at Sydney Dragway on Saturday evening.

Brown qualified fastest by more than two seconds and went on to win all three finals to take the night ahead of Tye Simmonds (KTM Off-Road Racing Team) and Josh Green (Active8 Yamaha) and added a perfect 75 points to his championship total.

“It was a good day really, everything went smooth and I couldn’t really have gone much better,” Brown said. “I got good starts and everything was working. I have gained a few points now so, that will make it easier for the next race.

“It was a good track, it was nice, but everybody did the same stuff so it was difficult to make time up on people because everybody was about the same speed. It was important to be quick on the start and as quick as you could in between and over the obstacles.

“I head back home now for the first round of the American series, but I’m looking forward to coming back for the next one to try to win the championship for myself and Husky.”

Completing the top five was Simmonds’ teammate Toby Price, fresh back from Adelaide’s Clipsal 500 where he’s contesting the Super Trucks event, and Yamaha-mounted privateer Stefan Granquist.

In the Women’s category it was Tayla Jones who won the round to take charge of the championship lead, with Jemma Wilson and Jessica Gardiner completing the podium. Emilie Karlsson was fourth, as round one winner Kirstie McKinnon rounded out the top five.
