Boyle aims to reclaim Enduro-X Nationals with Honda

Will undertake a full program of off-road and endurance events.

Peter Boyle has reunited with Honda for 2015 and will undertake a full program of off-road and endurance events starting with the opening round of the Australian Enduro-X Nationals at Archerfield Speedway this weekend.

Boyle, who will contest the Australian Enduro-X Nationals, the Australian Off-Road Championship, the Hattah Desert Race, Finke Desert Race and various state events believes he is now in the best position to achieve results.

“I have been working hard and found the fun in riding I once enjoyed,” Boyle said. “The past few seasons have been tough for many reasons and now that I have taken over managing my own team with the support of Honda, Penrite and Yarrive Konsky I feel more comfortable.

“We finished the year of strong last year winning the Enduro-X at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The Penrite Honda team helped me build a competitive 250; I knew they would after the success they had in Supercross with Gavin Faith. I have been practicing a lot leading up to Brisbane and I feel confident lining up against everyone else.”

Honda Australia Motorcycles racing manager Glyn Griffiths confirmed Honda would support Boyle’s racing endeavours independently for 2015 and look forward to working with him on his short and long term goals.

“Peter won many races and championships with us and we feel he is a part of the Honda family,” Griffiths said. “We all believe in his talents and we look forward to working with him.”

Penrite Oil will also partner Boyle for 2015 and look forward to working closely with him to develop their range. General manager Toby Dymond is excited about their inception into off-road racing.

“Off-road racing is endurance racing and when you add Finke and Hattah you combine the most vigorous and enduring forms of motorsport together,” Dymond said. “These events combined will really test our products and this is vital to Penrite’s reputation for providing quality and reliable oils.”

Boyle has arrived in Brisbane to prepare for the opening round of the Australian Enduro-X Championship at Archerfield Speedway this weekend.
