The Australian NPS Monster Energy Kawasaki team will embark on a pre-season training camp in the United States later this month, with Adam Monea and Jake Moss scheduled to enter the first six rounds of the 2015 Monster Energy Supercross series.

After finishing second in the 2014 Australian Supercross Championship, Monea will make his American Supercross debut alongside Moss, who has extensive experience competing in the US during his career.

It’s understood the pair will be feature in a guest ride as part of a newly-formed, Australian-backed operation in America, which will enable them to complete the opening supercross events on KX450F machinery.

“We are going to take our team over there to contest the first six rounds of AMA Supercross,” team manager Troy Carroll commented. “The whole idea of the exercise is to have the guys race and get their speed and fitness up. It’s a great thing for them to be on the bikes and active, plus to give fans of Australian racing some of our own guys to follow during the first parts of the season over there.”

Anaheim 1 will open the 2015 Monster Energy Supercross season on 3 January, with Kawasaki’s Australian riders due to line-up at A1, Phoenix, A2, Oakland, A3 and San Diego.

The team will take a total of 16 personnel across to Southern California as part of the two-month exercise, in a bid to prepare for the Australian season when the MX Nationals commence at Horsham, VIC, in March.
