Some of the world’s best off-road racers will go head-to-head at MOTO EXPO Melbourne with the first ever Australian Motorcycle Finance Head-2-Head EnduroCross presented by Yamaha confirmed to debut at Melbourne Showgrounds on 28-30 November.

The invitation-only event will see 20 riders from Australia and overseas race head-to-head, elimination style, on a custom designed and built track by Dave and Collin Robbins from the successful Enduro X series.

Riders will compete on a tight track built from a range of obstacle including rocks, logs and tyres with racing to take place at 2:00pm on the Saturday and Sunday at MOTO EXPO.

Australian Motor Finance general manager Brad Ryan said the company would use MOTO EXPO Melbourne to re-launch their finance brand to the Australian motorcycle market.

“Australian Motorcycle Finance is excited about offering AMF to the market and believe that its existing and potential clients will benefit from the competitively priced products and its market leading service,“ said Ryan.

Yamaha Motor Australia has been a long time supporter of off road racing in Australia and New Zealand – including previous Enduro X events.

“Enduro X is particularly spectator friendly and events like these help to highlight our reliable, high performance and best selling range of YZ and WR-F dirt bikes,” said YMA Race Team Manager Ray Howard

“Of course our range is highlighted even more when we win, and Yamaha has done a lot of winning recently. Current Enduro X champion CDR Yamaha rider Chris Hollis is due to ride an exciting new model at this event, so we are delighted to be able to assist with the Australian Motor Finance Head-2-Head EnduroCross.”

Event organiser Troy Bayliss said spectators would be able view this brand new format of Enduro X racing up close.

“It is an incredible achievement to be bringing the best off-road racers to Melbourne to compete on a man-made track which is virtually in the middle of the CBD,” Bayliss said. “These guys are incredible on bikes, how fast they ride no matter if its out in the desert or on technical Enduro X tracks is astounding.

“To watch riders who have won the Finke Desert Race, competed in Dakar and raced the best In the world going head-to- head, competing for a winner take all cash prize each day is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Already confirmed for Australian Motor Finance Head-2-Head EnduroCross are three-time Australian Four Day Endurance Champion Daniel Milner, four-time Finke Desert Race Champion Ben Grabham and multiple Australian Off-Road Champion Hollis.

Hollis, who rides for the CDR Yamaha team, and won this years’ inaugural KTM Australian Enduro-X Championship said he was looking forward to the challenging new format.

“MOTO EXPO is going to be great for the Enduro X riders, going head-to-head is going to be exciting, one mistake and you could be out,” Hollis said. “I’m looking forward to matching up against the best on my Yamaha, its a incredible line up of riders and I hope the crowds come and enjoy all the action MOTO EXPO has planned.”

A full list of riders will be announced in coming weeks.

Motul, Pirelli and Sony Action Cam also support the Australian Motor Finance Head-2-Head EnduroCross presented by Yamaha.

Australian Motorcycle Finance and its Insurance branded product Mi Bike Motorcycle Insurance will both be on display within the main exhibition ready to speak to customers.

Over 20,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to attend MOTO EXPO Melbourne over the three-days of the event.

Entry into the show will include access to the Australian Motor Finance Head-2-Head EnduroCross and Baylisstic Scramble which will see five teams of four riders compete for points to determine the team champions.

Visitors can expect to see some of Australia’s most successful motorcycle athletes along with entertainment including live street bike stunts, ATV, side by sides (UTV), mini moto, Freestyle Moto X, Trials and more.

Free undercover motorcycle parking will be available within the showground’s for all visitors.
