Four-time Australian Off-Road Champion Toby Price has revealed he will take on the challenge of rally racing when he enters the OiLibya Rally of Morocco on 3-9 October.

Price will use the race as a test bed in the lead-up to the 2015 Dakar Rally, which the KTM rider is also set to contest following a spectacular season locally that has seen him capture wins in multiple off-road and desert events.

“I have been in talks with the Red Bull Karcher KTM Rally Team along with my current team manager Ben Grabham for sometime now discussing options and if this is something I would be interested in,” Price commented. “To be honest, I simply cannot believe this opportunity has been passed on and is all going ahead, it’s simply a dream come true.

“I cannot thank Ben enough for his efforts! I will be departing from Australia soon for a short time to meet with one of my heroes Mark Coma to prepare and compete in the OiLibya Rally of Morocco, if all goes well and I’m happy with my performance I will then return for the Dakar in early January.”

Grabham has made headlines during the past two years by competing at Dakar, finishing 15th on debut in 2013 before crashing out of the 2014 running.
