The powerhouse American and Belgian teams have been announced ahead of the 2014 FIM Motocross of Nations, which will take place in Kegums, Latvia, on 27-28 September.

Team USA was confirmed at the Unadilla round of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross on Saturday, featuring Red Bull KTM’s Ryan Dungey (MX1), GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac (MX3) and Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin (MX2).

“If you look at the way Ryan, Eli and Jeremy are riding at the moment, we should be back in the hunt for a victory,” said team manager Roger DeCoster. “The track we will be racing at suits our style, and all the riders are talented and on good equipment. Also, all of these riders want to be here, and compete for their country. That’s what we want in a team.”

Belgium, the defending Motocross of Nations champions, named their squad for the 2014 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations in Latvia at the 2014 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship.

Yamaha’s Jeremy Van Horebeek will lead the team in MX1, joined by Kevin Strijobs (MX3) and Julien Lieber (MX2); the team managed by Joel Smets. The team will be without MXGP star Clement Desalle, who is currently injured.

It was previously announced that France will consist of Gautier Paulin as the MX1 entry, alongside Dylan Ferrandis (MX2) and Steven Frossard (Open) making for an all-Kawasaki Team France.

Team Australia is yet to be announced by Motorcycling Australia (MA), with an international line-up of Chad Reed (MX1), Brett Metcalfe (MX3) and Dean Ferris (MX2) linked to the team.
