Bike: 2015 Yamaha YZ450F and YZ250F

Revised 2015 Yamaha YZ450F and YZ250F models break cover.

Yamaha has officially unveiled its 2015 range in the US, featuring the four-stroke YZ450F and YZ250F, as well as revamped YZ250, YZ125 and YZ85 two-strokes.

To say the 2014 YZ250F took the world by storm would be a serious understatement. All-new in 2014, the YZ250F and its revolutionary rearward slanted engine has proven the class of the MX2 field and is the current leader of the Monster Energy MX Nationals.

For 2015 the YZ250F has been refined with new suspension settings, revised fuel and ignition timing, to ensure its winning ways continue. It also has Dunlop’s new MX52 tyres and a gold chain, along with quick-fasteners in the airbox. Look for the 2015 YZ250F in both Blue (now featuring black wheels) and White/Red.

Like the YZ250F, the YZ450F was all new in 2014, but that didn’t stop Yamaha engineers from improving the 2015 YZ450F. Key changes include new outer fork tubes, updated suspension settings, steel motor mounts for rigidity and balance, and revised fuel and ignition timing.

The 2015 YZ450F also now features the latest MX52s from Dunlop to insure all the horsepower is put to the ground, plus the airbox fasteners, gold chain, and black wheels now stock on the blue version as well. It too will also be available in both Blue and White/Red colourways.

Australian pricing or release date is yet to be confirmed by Yamaha Motor Australia. Technical variances may occur in the local market.
