RCH Racing Suzuki has announced it has signed top privateer Weston Peick to race the Lucas Oil Pro Motorcross Championship for the 2014 season.

Peick will continue to contest the remainder of Monster Energy Supercross as a privateer, before joining the RCH team co-owned by Ricky Carmichael and Carey Hart.

“I’m glad to have Weston a part of the team,” Carmichael commented. “We are excited to give him the opportunity and look forward to working with him to help him achieve his goals.

“He has a great work ethic that will mesh well with our team personnel to get the best result possible. It should be a lot of fun!”

Coming off multiple top five performances in supercross so far this season, Peick is excited to compete as a factory rider for the first time since turning pro in 2009.

“This is a great opportunity to be surrounded by one of the best riders of all time and one of the best factory teams to help me get to the next level,” said Peick.

“I want to thank all my current sponsors for their outstanding support for the supercross series. Without them, this opportunity wouldn’t be possible.”

It’s anticipated the team will also field Ivan Tedesco outdoors until Brock Tickle returns from injury, leaving Josh Hill without a seat for the motocross season.

Peick will make his RCH debut when the outdoors commence at Glen Helen in California on 24 May.
