Williams Event Management and the MX Nationals have announced that Alpinestars has come on board as the official boot of the 2014 championship series.

For over 50 years, Alpinestars has outfitted countless world champions past and present and produces the highest level of performance and protective footwear.

Jy Morgan from Monza Imports said that they are delighted to reaffirm their sponsorship of the series.

“Alpinestars has an long standing relationship with many pro teams involved in the MX Nationals,” Morgan said. “We got involved in the MX Nationals in the beginning and we have been great supporters of the series ever since.

“Reactivating our sponsorship this year was a simple decision and with the help of Kev we were able to make this happen. To be aligned with the leading MX competition in Australia simply reaffirms Alpinestars as the premier boot manufacturer in the market.”

Morgan said that the alignment between Alpinestars and the MX Nationals was a way to reach the motorcycling community and get more people involved at all levels of the sport.

“With so much marketing noise around these days its really hard to connect on a personal level with our target audience,” he continued. “We saw this partnership as not only an opportunity to engage with real people and to show off the new 2014 Tech10’s, but to also help bring people back to racing.

“This year we are really encouraging people to get back to the track and support all forms of racing – even if it’s just at a local level. Supporting the MX Nationals and encouraging people to attend events is only going to help our sport in the long run.”

Morgan also added that the brand has developed a wonderful reputation at home and abroad, and this will again be on display throughout the 2014 series.

“With over 50 years of rich technical heritage, Alpinestars have been regarded as the premier boot manufacturer for quite some time,” he said.

“Elite athletes from all over the world race in and recommend our products. Riders including Ryan Villopoto, Justin Barcia, Eli Tomac, Jeffery Herlings, Dean Wilson, Dean Ferris and Adam Cianciarulo to name a few.

“This year in the MX Nationals we have the Team Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha all wearing Alpinestars boots along with a heap of privateer riders.”

Speaking about the news, WEM director Kevin Williams praised the brand for getting behind the biggest series of off-road racing in the country.

“It is really great to have such an iconic brand like Alpinestars behind the 2014 series,” Williams said. “Alpinestars has similar goals, and represents the same brand values that we do at the MX Nationals – providing a quality, trusted and respected product to those within our industry.

“That’s why it is wonderful to have them come on board – and partnering together is such a natural fit.”
