Link International awarded a total prize pool of $6000 for in Pirelli Privateer Contingency Awards during the 2013 Australian Supercross Championship.

In an effort to support the privateer riders throughout the series, Link International and Pirelli set up the program, where competitors were able to purchase Pirelli tyres at a special race price through their local dealer.

To be eligible to share in the $1000 LINK Dollars per class at each standalone round (double-header events were awarded as combined rounds), riders had to submit the contingency form prior to each round and also run Pirelli logos on their bike.

“Whilst the rider numbers were down on previous years, we were very pleased to have a strong presence of Pirelli riders throughout the Pro Opens and Pro Lites categories,” said Pirelli product manager Don Nicholas.

“Privateers lining up at each round allows the sport build. We believe it is essential to support these riders, especially when they choose to race on Pirelli Scorpion Tyres.”

During the series Nicholas Geck received $400, Taylor Potter $1800, Nick Sutherland $1300, Lewis Woods $2000 and Ryan Ziepes $500 across the six rounds.
